TAP SF Night Market
The Taiwanese organization wanted to have a Night Market event and I put myself in charge of providing decorations. For designing night market booths, I knew I needed some sort of structural support that would extend up and around to provide that booth shape. I decided to go with 1inch PVC pipe as It was strong enough to go 3 feet up and 5 feet across without sagging too much and loosing structure. This build was not too bad and came out better than I envisioned it and I was able to create 15 booths for the organization around $75.
Bill Of Materials:
$65 – 1 inch PVC pipe
$10 – T shaped PVC pipe connectors
$15 – PVC pipe cutter. This was much easier, safer, and faster to use than sawing and worth it to buy for this project. This is essentially a pair of scissors for PVC pipe cutting.
I was proud of this because our team did not know what to expect going in. We knew we could not provide the funds to buy actual booths for $100+ each so being able to provide that feel with provided tables and pipe for such a low cost made for a fun night with lower risk and higher returns for the 2000+ person event that day.
